Vocalist; Songwriter; Instrumentalist; Storyteller

Bel Holiday is a NY Metro-based singer and songwriter who seamlessly blends a wide range of influences, from Hiatus Kaiyote to Ed Sheeran to Broadway show tunes. Although only twenty one years of age, she has been singing and performing for well over a decade. In her own words, she is “ever evolving and always able to draw inspiration from other artists.” She is the recipient of the “Rising Star” award at the Jazz Forum Arts Vocal Jazz Festival, was the Grand Prixe winner at the West Park International Music Festival in 2019 and opened the Real Catwalk NYC- one of the world’s most notable body image rallies-with an original song on the topic of self-acceptance. Her debut EP, Watermelon, was released in August of 2020 and has amassed over 72 thousand streams as of December 2020- largely thanks to her bluesy lead single, Devil on Your Shoulder. In October, she was invited to perform for Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie on American Idol Season 4, after which she completed her second EP, Mess of a Mind, with Californian self-taught producer Thalo- almost entirely by bouncing files back and forth between one another, in true "COVID-friendly-fashion," so to speak. She has since slowed down the process of recording and promoting her music, prioritizing the joy and authenticity of writing whilst discovering her own sound and spirit within the craft.
Bel has graced the stage at many prestigious venues throughout the NYC area such as Drom, Rockwood Music Hall, and The Bowery Electric. In addition to making music, Bel can be found studying for numerous health and wellness certifications, practicing yoga and meditation, and reading spiritual scripture. Despite her accolades to date, Bel is serious about not taking herself too seriously and hopes to utilize her musical abilities in service of others moving forward.
